Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, babies are welcome. I'm comfortable with feeding, settling, changing and the natural and normal interruptions that come with having a little one present. Please note, pram access can be challenging as we have one flight of stairs and no lift access. If you need help with the pram please let me know in advance and I will come downstairs to help you.

I exclusively work with adults, but I recognise that maternal mental health is deeply interconnected with infant and child wellbeing. While I don't provide direct therapeutic services to children, I take a whānau-centred approach that acknowledges these important attachment relationships. I can help mothers understand their children's developmental needs, support healthy parent-child relationships and address parenting challenges within the context of maternal wellbeing.
For direct therapeutic work with children and adolescents, I maintain strong professional relationships with child psychologists and other specialists. I can facilitate warm referrals to ensure your whole family receives the appropriate support and with your consent, can collaborate with these providers to ensure a cohesive approach to your family's wellbeing.
-
I don't offer traditional couples therapy. My practice focuses on individual therapy support, though I welcome whānau/family members or support people into sessions as part of a client's holistic therapeutic journey —always with the client's prior consent and when it serves their individual therapeutic goals.
-
If your needs would be better served by another provider, I'm happy to help connect you with appropriate resources and professionals.
-
I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, 75% of the session fee will be charged. I understand that emergencies happen, particularly with children, so please communicate as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
-
You can self-refer by contacting me directly—no GP referral is required. If you are referred by another health professional, with your consent, I can provide them with progress updates as appropriate. I also welcome referrals from employers, though confidentiality remains with you, the client.

I recognise the significant impact neurodiversity can have on the parenting experience and maternal wellbeing. I provide a supportive space for neurodivergent mothers and birthing individuals, or parents of neurodivergent children, to explore how their unique experiences shape their parenting journey.
While neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental assessments are not my primary specialisation, I can help you navigate the emotional aspects of diagnosis (whether your own or your child's), develop strategies that honour neurodivergent needs within family dynamics and address the additional societal pressures often placed on neurodivergent families. When specialised assessments, specific interventions or coaching are needed, I can refer you to appropriate neurodiversity specialists while continuing to support your maternal wellbeing.
